Massive with a capital M Day!

Mazda’s only one day, once a year national sale has been running now for the last five years and is always a huge day for the Mazda brand in Australia. This year’s M Day was held on Saturday October 13 and was a resounding success around the nation. It was Mazda’s biggest M Day yet, breaking all previous sales records. How can it be even more successful next year? The only way you could possibly have the sensational Mazda sales team sign up more deals is if they learn to write with both hands. A creation of Grant Day James, M Day is a huge GDJ team effort with Point of Sale being produced and dispatched to more than 130 dealers in all states of Australia, TV ads being made and dispatched to all corners of the country, radio ads being made and sent everywhere and countless press ads featuring big red Ms hitting newspapers from the outback to the city, coast to coast, top to bottom. A huge pat on the back for all the team who are featured on this site. You guys were simply incredible and have done it again! Congratulations also to Mazda Australia who have stuck with a simple formula for the day which is tried and tested and hasn’t missed a beat in five years (touch wood).

Not as big as M Day… but still a winner!

Speaking of blowing own trumpets, a certain ‘64 2cv van (fourgonnette to be precise) owned by a certain director whose surname happens to begin with a ‘J’ picked up first prize in its class at the Citroen Concours held Sunday October 14th.

Future surf star in the making

Blowing own trumpet part III … young Darcy Day, son of a certain other director, reached the semi finals of Rip Curl’s Grom Search 2007. A fair effort since he surfed in the under 13s as a ten year old.

  1. That sounds like an awesome effort Darcy, kudos to you! Watch out Grom Search 2008…

Pete, I saw the photos of your prize-winning 2cv back when it was a husk in a farmer’s shed - amazing to think it’s the same vehicle. What a cute little automobile it is.

  2. Hi GDJ,
Thanks for your support for the NSW Team for M Day. We set another record and the Dealers were awed by our launch events. We love Paul and all the work the Melbourne team do too!!
    Cheers, Fiona
